as blue as you and me.

so i have this new obsession with wearing my cute hair bows as cute bowties. i just can't stop, so expect to see me repeat way too much (something i hardly ever do!).. and i just scored these amazing perfect colored shorts, and basically want to wear them with everything every day!

in other news, my guy had to get foot surgery yesterday because he had a barnacle stuck in it :( lets all go awwww for him, because he is awfully helpless and on crutches. he will heal fine, i know it, and good riddance to the yucky foreign object that was in his foot!

attack of the 50 foot woman.

notice anything different [aside from the sweat beads on my forehead]?? yup, i straightened my hairs! it is something you won't see me do often. i admit to laziness & also, i kinda really like my natural waves, but a girls gotta change it up sometimes! sooo.. when misikko offered to send me a hana professional flat iron i couldn't say no ;) i love it! it's hassle free/when my hair is straight it looks so much longer!! plus they even sent me a cute lil' eye cover to keep me sleeping better at night!

also... this day was sweltering. just way too hot. i am actually drinking water... gotta stay hydrated! i am loving the pictures on the roof of our building. i will love them even more in october when the air is cool.

the spice of life!

so after watching the cheesy but 'with a point' movie midnight in paris, my dad and i got to chatting about the fantasy of living during a different era. it really has me thinkin' why i love the 60's so much that i emulate the era with my clothing tastes, music choices & of course the way i decorate. i decided that it isn't necessary the era in itself, but just the idea of a peachy universe or world where everything is cheery. in my mind, that place is within the time period of the 60's. it is a little place to go away to whenever things aint so hot or even when they are, i can still walk into a diner in my mind and slurp on a chocolate milkshake. do you have a little place in your mind that you go to?

stormy weather

i wish i had more sun to bring you today, but i have come to terms with florida summers representing rain, rain and more rain. but, on the bright side this means more snuggling with the ones you have a crush on[matt], cheesy tv shows, or funny ones[ curb your enthusiasm/ teen mom] and homemade veggie soups to keep you cozy!

but, from inside my doom and gloom bedroom i am going to bring you cuteness! these bunny flats sent to me by le bunny bleu... can we just take a moment to collectively say "AWWWWW." i may have squealed when they arrived. and.... the color of this cardigan pushed it to the top of my list. it will brighten any summer rainy day for me!

that look in your eyes.

i am accidentally making super puppy dog eyes in the first photo. i capture hearts with that look. hehe just kidding.

so.. i have a huge collection of the cutest vintage hair pieces[much like the one i have on], and i am trying to decide if i should start selling them for a fair price, $5 each or so. would any of you be interested? or should i just hang on to em and continue to hoard them?

i'm sporting my new pair of wanted shoes that i just cannot get enough of! these are the darla black, and im not kidding you they match with everything. i think my other shoes are starting to feel left out.

also, i am wearing the best and brightest shorts in the world. they have an elastic waistband, so i can eat one too many raspberry tarts and still be comfortable. now that makes them the best shorts. and the shirt i need to stop wearing. i have worn it here and here! no more appearances for a while. off to enjoy my day off. matt and i are going hunting for some household goodies & i need to study study study. we are re-vamping a bit! have a lovely monday, any weekend fun you want to share go ahead!!
