day of thanks.

seems like this is turning into a "me and my puppy and oh yeah i like clothes" blog, sorry! i will try to refrain from featuring claude in every post, she is just too darn cute! i wore this on thanksgiving because we all know it's necessary to wear comfy and roomy clothes to go stuff our faces with turkey! i love this cute snowflake sweater, and already miss our mini cold front from last week.

tonight i am having an ugly sweater housewarming party! i baked cute holiday cookies, set up a photobooth and got the perfect "ugly" sweater, and i couldn't be more excited! i hope you all have a festive weekend!

cozy for camping ❤

one of the best things to do during florida fall/winter (as i've probably mentioned way too many times) is roadtripping upcoast. the weather is chillier, the air is crisp and it is always an adventure! claude came with us on her first upcoast trip :) ! we definitely did not prepare for the 45 degree night we had, so we were all a bit freezing, but we grabbed everything warm we had in the car to try to bundle ourselves up. it was kind of fun!

i lived in this cozy reindeer sweater which i could finally wear! it is the most perfect holiday sweater ever, and i cannot even believe i found it. the pants are my new go-to for work-- the j.crew "pixie pant." they appear to be leggings but they are somewhere in between pants and leggings, perfect to dress up or dress down. i love love love them! k, i am off to a full day of work today! have a lovely wednesday!

girls and pearls.

nothing catches my eye more around this time of year than velvet. naturally i adore this velvetty skirt jeweled with polka dot pearls! it has been chilly enough in the mornings and afternoons for knee-highs, and i have been indulging. i am on the search for some new ones because these always slide down my leg as i walk. i would love some fair isle knee highs too, we'll see what i can find :)

the aftermath.

one of my favorite holidays of the year is over, and here i am just recovering from a massive food hangover before i take a quick nap and wake up at 4am to prepare for black friday! i ate TONS of pumpkin pie and apple pie, and then fell asleep on the car ride home with claude on my lap. now THAT is livin'. after work matt and i are heading on our annual "after-thanksgiving" roadtrip up the coast to see my family and camp out!

i snapped these on an afternoon work with my sweetheart. we just love exploring our new neighborhood by foot, and my favorite part are the narrow alleyways! i'm equally as obsessed with this beautiful bird skirt, and cannot wait to wear it in spring as well! have a great weekend!

baby it's cold outside.

it has been in the 60's early morning, which is not to be taken lightly in my book! i am in full-on sweater mode, and i have way too many sweaters in rotation! i finally caved and got this sweater from j.crew to wear on thanksgiving day. i mean c'mon, how could i resist :) i can't believe thanksgiving is tomorrow. it is one of my all-time favorite holidays! i hope you all eat way too much pumpkin pie, hug your loved ones extra and of course enjoy your itis!!! :)

polka dots and puppies.

meet claude pepper! we know claude is a mens name, but we decided on the name before someone informed us, so we're keeping it. she is 2 lbs and 9 weeks old, and possibly the cutest weenie dog in the entire world. it's been a whirlwind of a weekend, sort of feels like we just had a baby because she wimpers and keeps us up at night haha. she is such a bundle of joy though. it's so fun to be able to walk around south beach with her (minus the mobs of random people's hands who touch her as we walk by). it feels fake having this cute, clumsy, sweet little creature run around the house! i will make sure to show you pictures of her, i am sort of in overbearing mom phase right now.

i wore this yesterday for a walk on lincoln road, ending in a movie date! i feel like i abandoned polka dots, but i do still love them! have a happy monday!

the GAP + me!

our move-in is a success! even my favorite ceramic ice cream cone made it unscathed. now is the fun part, decorating! the house is very spacious, but doesn't have such great lighting so i need to get lots of lamps. we're also going to get fun antique furniture!
