days off.

the weather has been gloom central around here, and i've been throwing on cozy cozy clothes. my go-to rainy day outfit is a pair of skinnies and an oversized sweater, and a sweater with TEDDY BEARS is a dream for me. i got the bag as a gift to myself from j.crew this week. the color is so beautiful.

i am taking a trip down memory lane this weekend and visiting orlando, florida-- the place i attended college. it's a friends birthday, and so, we couldn't say no to a friend :) i will make sure to take pictures! have a lovely weekend!

there were bells on a hill, but i never heard them ringing.

these amaaazing polka dotted pants came in the mail from motel rocks yesterday, and i immediately put them on. i swear i've never loved pants even close to as much. They are perfectly high waisted and stretchy enough to be cozy. it's been getting down to the 70s at night (i know, "SO COLD") but i am a big baby and always wear fall clothes anyway because the supermarket/ restaurants are always cold inside.

it has been sort of an odd week of a lot of free time where school used to be. work hasn't needed me much, and i apparently have taken to cooking! this week i baked pumpkin pie, parmesan chicken and chicken sliders! i also did the laundry, which doesn't happen too often. can you tell i disdain free time? anyone have a hobby that doesn't cost money? maybe i will start to knit again... lol

a day at tea and tulips!

after getting  questions about my store, I decided to post about it :) my store, which i started two years ago, is run out of my very own room! as silly as it sounds, my "studio" is actually right next to my bed. I am lucky enough to have a beautiful and large bedroom with high ceilings and pretty lighting. I keep my clothing rack filled with vintage a few feet from my desk. i also store bunches of blouses and skirts under my bed and in my closet. i just make sure to stay organized :)

it's no good unless it glows.

i've been in a "beach house" mood, relaxing in my room to the scent of my pumpkin candle listening to them. it is almost october and i couldn't be happier. my halloween costume is all picked out, and as crazzzy as it may sound, my search for the perfect vintage new years dress has begun! last year i wore this one, and i'm sure one of you gals now owns it :) sometimes the amount of time i've been blogging weirds me out, anyone else get that way too? like.. how long do i continue keep posting? i wonder when i will stop! not anytime soon..

vj-style sent over this bag/ necklace last week and they have quickly become my favorites. i never thought i'd wear a spike necklace, but i love the contrast of pairing it with an extra feminine blouse. the bag adds an amazing pop of color, and i can't wait to wear it all fall!
