life could be a dream.

happpy monday! my days feel all scrambled because when matt was away last week i was living like a real bachelorette :) froyo for dinner, frozen corn for lunch.. life was a bit unusual for a bit. routines have since resumed though!

it has been non-stop rain over here and it's supposed to continue for the whole week. i don't mind it because you know what they say about april showers and also, i will take rainy over boiling hot any day!  i wore this to go see a movie at the art cinema in our neighborhood. they always keep the temperature at about 50 degrees (or it seems that way) so i usually dress for antarctica when we go, and sweat the whole walk there. the top just makes me think crisscross applesauce. idk.. i embrace my weird thoughts. have a productive monday! i'll be planning my store window display for my visual merchandising class all day! :)

i have the spring bug. i can't resist delicate floral patterns like the one on this blouse. it was a simple/ cozy day, so i threw on jeans which doesn't happen to often on the blog, or off the blog either! 

i spent this afternoon grabbing lunch with gaby and our moms. we ate yummy cupcakes and i tried bread pudding for the first time, WOW. so delicious. have an extra happy weekend! i am not going to even try to conceal my happiness about this weekend because matt comes back from his trip saturday night! *biggest smile a girl can make*

as summer rolls around, i usually have less luck finding wearable vintage. for some reason i can never find great shorts/skirts that fit me right.. do you vintage shoppers have the same dilemma?

because of this, i went to the mall with my mom on this day and shopped forever 21. i am not a huge mall person, but i found some cute shorts & left with this hat which i am sure i'll get a lot of use out of! we also had a weird day-long cold front so i got to wear these pants which have remained one of my faves! here's to warmer days... and warmer clothes! :)

just watching the news with my dad and about to eat some of my moms home made pumpkin soup! mmm! how has your week been so far?

i wore this for an evening walk with matt before he left on his trip. i picked up sushi and macarons in our neighborhood-- two of my favorite things to eat. i think this is the end of my love affair with mint. okay, i lied, i still love mint but i've been making a conscious effort to wear every color so none of them feel left out. ♥

alabama, arkansas, i do love my ma and pa.

got to my parents house yesterday. it was rainy/ cozy and i drank coffee and relaxed with my parents and my pup. it doesn't matter how quickly the years pass, i always still feel at home when i am sleeping under my parents roof. it's the best feeling.

channeling the hamburglar! ♥

felt sort of like the hamburglar in this outfit. for those of you who don't know who he is, i put a picture of him below.. he is the silly red, black and white McDonalds character. i'm not a fast food fan, but i may as well be because i DID indeed finish that entire brownie (sadly!). I didn't feel too hot for the rest of the day :) Aside from the brownie overload, I was mighty happy because this IS my new favorite blouse, and these ARE my new favorite flats from ShoeMint. have a mighty fine wednesday, mine will definitely be brownie free for today!

cats & creepers.

MEOW it's monday! i spent the first weekend in a while in miami enjoying the company of matty. we worked as photographers shooting an early race on key biscayne on saturday and then had one of those fun nights out on the town when you feel like you just started dating last week. a girl even laughed at our dancing skills, but we didn't care!

i wore this to school on friday.. can't ever pass up a kitty sweater. also, i know that creepers are ABSOLUTELY not my style, but something just drew me to this particular pair. i've recently realized that sometimes it is good to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new! have a lovely monday, and keep trying new things! xo!

fridays are good. :) this quarter is a toughie guys, i have lots and lots of reading! i've been spending my days buried in books and my sewing machine.. feeling like an introvert. but it is imperative to know about international retailing & buying & styling & advertising & visual merchandising (my lineup of classes). i really couldn't love all of the topics any more. life is such a balance between fun and work, sometimes i need to remind myself that its okay to have some fun! but working hard is good too..

anyWAY! i wore this to dinner with my fam on wednesday. decided to put on every shade of beige and gold that i own including this cute cute bow necklace that i haven't taken off. i apologize ahead of time for all of the outfits it will be in :) how are you cute gals having fun this weekend? on saturday i am working a job side-by-side with matty as a photographer and sunday... who knows!
